  • Why do people hate extra cores?

    1) Battle Quests and Guides is the same as the old Raid Discussions forums, and this relates to tactics of doing the S3 raids.

    2) It varies. For Braha the Ancient break off is just a piece same as Lakoria's Frill, etc. from S2 and S1 bosses, but regular Braha is a core that gets rolled on. Same for Glas, Lugh, Regina, Abomination, Eochaid.

  • So what's going on with DevCAT?

    Open world is great when it gives players new areas to explore and things to try. It would be great if this game had more to do than just kill things 24/7. Daily missions and titles that could be achieved outside of room-to-room dungeons would be perfection.

    As to Brynn & Ferg, changes would be welcome. Less punishment would be grand, but even in BDO items can be lost going for the absolute top tier. Anyway, we'll see what happens, but I agree that more high level gear needs to be attainable for all.
    Lol I think its also cause of the enhancement system, its way too punishing. The servers might have quite a few people quitting but I think most just rage quit after blowing up their gear.
    OP speaks for themselves tbh. I don't know of anyone that quit due to bad servers.

    most people I know who quit did so because of enchanting or boredom. More of the former than the latter.

    Eh no. I severely disagree. Not saying this isn't a thing that causes people to quit, but I don't see how you can honestly think RNG, balance, grinding, or the overall scammy nature of the cash shop aren't bigger factors.

    RNG in KR games is sadly a way of life. It's just funny because there are all these mobile games being developed because even a lot of Korean players are wanting to be more casual, yet these traditional AAA titles continue to pile on the RNG.

    Gear at the highest level is still destroyed on failure, and the pain of even trying to get to that point is still over-the-top. It really isn't greener pastures, it's just that the pain comes later.

  • The latest nerf to Cestus Karok

    It's always sad when devs take mechanics/abilities that players have gotten used to and learned to play with in the best possible way and then negate them. The negative responses aren't surprising though; the similar Kai thread had hate out the wazoo and Hurk's nerf at the start of S3--which was finally partially reversed--was met with a lot of people telling players who loved Hurk to 'git gud'. It's bad design to make these kinds of changes. I see nothing wrong with having stamina as a stat, but characters who are played well should have the ability to overcome that penalty. If you dodge, attack, and utilize your cool downs correctly you should be rewarded. Not something I'll ever see otherwise. Increase the challenge, but don't make an artificial one by removing or downgrading abilities or simply turning bosses into damage sponges.

  • How do you enchant?

    For everything that I try, 94ish BR is about the minimum I'll go with, meaning 38% stick chance min on the R7s, 48% on the R8-9s, and similar values for the Rank As and below. Every little bit helps, and as most of the scrolls aren't that cheap, and the more expensive ones are often worth using runes with, redoing the elixir is a big help. That said, as others mentioned RNG is RNG--sort of, since Vindi is suspect when it comes to that--and even getting close to perfect pours doesn't guarantee anything. Remember that perfect pours still mean a 60% chance of failure on R7 scrolls, and only 50/50 for R8-9s.

    Lastly, DevCat has never answered as to if there may be a glitch when getting 100 BR through pours not made with 100 BR elixirs, or multiples of 50s/20s until full. There are people who have said that they failed 100 BR tries with Passion, etc., that should be a guaranteed stick at that level. There aren't any pics of this--which isn't surprising as who's going to expect a perfect pour to fail--and as elixirs aren't free and there's no way to consistently hit 100 BR with a mix of elixirs no one can really experiment to prove it.

    TL;DR enchanting is RNG-based, the RNG is iffy, and +pain is your constant companion when you Vindi.
