I mean I haven't played Guild Wars 2 actively since before HoT released but I could roll over there and play through Halloween and be much better rewarded for my time. The same is true for almost every other MMO out there, so why waste time on these events?

I don't get people saying that players should have no right to control who ends up on their boat. If they're hosting it's their prerogative. Yep, it's annoying when people kick for friends/guildies, and the system should be better designed to allow for that, but this change isn't a good fix either. It's like many of the "fixes" since Rise is poorly executed.

If you don't want to be at the whim of others or don't like the way certain people run their boats then host your own, it's that simple. This change isn't going to get more people playing together, it's just going to get more players going to private boats or just being done with the game for good. Having to remake because a known sandbagger/afker is on board is not promoting anything healthy.

IIRC Succy Mate is straight up 250K NX to get, and I'm not surprised they waited on it. They can get $100 from you now and $250 then, so why not?
