About Me
MapleStory is a better game
  • is this game dying?

The game's been dying for years. It's never going to be scrapped though and neither will Mabinogi. If they were going to scrap Vindictus and Mabinogi, they would've done so with the newest wave consisting of Dragon Nest, Atlantica, Dirty Bomb, Combat Arms, Sudden Attack, and that Ghost In The Shell game (also Audition, Kart Rider, Dungeon Fighter Online, and PopTag in the past). They use very little resources to keep Vindictus up and running, especially since battles are hosted by players and they don't have servers dedicated to that. Devcat is also part of Nexon, so they can't scrap the game anyway. Devcat's been focusing more on their newer games though, I believe. Someone also told me that they stated in a dev interview that they planned on stopping the game after season 4. I'm not sure if this means ending the game completely or just not letting the story progress further than that while still developing new content.

Also, quoting this from another thread because it's relevant:

    What a huge disappointment.

Another reason to play MapleStory instead too. Despite being published by the same company, it's amazing how differently they've always treated each game. MapleStory players get patch notes before the update even arrives and are notified about future updates at least two weeks in advance. Every patch, there's a lot of new content and like 20 new events to the point that it's overwhelming too. Not to mention, they hand out free items/ permanent NX equips really often as well as Maple Points (equivalent to NX). Vindictus is just a low-resource, minimial-effort cash grab to Nexon now.

Not sure why people are giving you such high p/c's. You'd probably get 3-3.5b for it. Maybe 4b or more if someone really wants it. At the end of the day, it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it though. Obviously, if you get bidwars going on, then it'll likely go for higher than what it's worth. We've also merged now and East has a bunch of whales compared to West, so who knows? At the high end, +15 level 90 weapons were 3-3.5b on West for people who were overpaying, but there weren't many that sold for that high. Gold is much more valuable now than it was back then too. A +16 level 90 weapon sold for 3b on East, so there's no reason a +15 level 95 weapon would be significantly higher. Not to mention, there was a pair of +15 Dullahan Twin Swords that sold for 3-3.75b in value a few days ago, but that depends on how you value the trade.

  • Are they ever going too fix the time issue?

Welp okay Thanks! but i still hope they fix the IG Clock issue hate not being able too tell time IG

The in-game clock uses UTC. They changed it for the NA/EU merge, but I'm not really sure why they bothered to do that. Should've kept the time as PST or have it be based on computer clock.

  • Dry Moonbeam/Moonshot outfitter?

Let's just hope they package it with Steel Cube, and that it comes soon.
    Need that Airtight Trivene too.
