Of course, they could just make money by selling less important things like cosmetic items and minor buffs, but derpcat's corporate culture doesn't allow for any revolutionary thinking. They basically just follow whatever the director says and like most korean companies, everyone is too scared to point out how dumb he is.
Perhaps I'm missing something here. Do you mean they can sell not as much of the cosmetics? Or sell more cosmetics? Because our shop on KR is basically mainly cosmetics 90% of the time. They could shift their revenue model to focus more on cosmetics and less important items, as opposed to runes. Most western "free to play" games make money via selling cosmetic items, character slots, etc, not by runes that you need to use if you don't want to boom your weapon. Some of my friends have mentioned path of exile as an example to me before.

Some new stats are visible, possibly just for quick battle limits, seems to be ATT + DEF and CRIT + BAL
UI improvements/cleaning, not sure, maybe optimization
Outline for normal mobs (a outline drawn around normal mobs to make it easier to see maybe?)
Item colors will actually mean how rare the item is now (they were doing this from the beginning, but messed it up by adding junk gear with purple color names, etc, guess they finally decided to fix it)
Better inventory sorting or something
Can enhance in your inventory instead of going to Ferghus
Better enchant UI (less pages i think, instead of needing to go place scroll + item then go to the elixir page)
Better marketplace advanced search
Reduced awakening stones to only two ranks
Simplified drops (less junk drops probably, and/or merging more of the s3 shards so they stack better)
Improved character goal rewards (you get runes for the level 95 reward apparently)
s3 story now gives you a box that you can open and choose the reward you get, one of which is a OJ essence (im willing to bet that charaters who have completed the story do not get compensated for this)
All armor masteries merged into one

There seems to be a pervasive attitude in the gaming industry that there … (more)is no point or need in taking customer feedback seriously...the devs for the last command and conquer game even went on record saying that they knew the fans wanted the usual base building game but they wanted to do something else, so the game bombed.
Pretty much every improvement in vindi was motivated purely by increased competition and falling revenue.
I mean, our server time all got changed to london time even though literally not a single player requested or suggested it. That's pretty much proof that Nexon does whatever they want without bothering to ask first. (less)
The Enhance/Enchant Runes act like normal ones and can be traded in shared storage. The shards say they can use all forms of trade, but I haven't gotten any so I have no idea if it's just the usual error or if they actually can be traded/sold.
Brynn can leave his lab in s3 because Erinn is merging with the mortal world. Why exactly this would remove the restriction on Brynn is not explained because derpcat stopped trying with … (more)the story after s1. (less)
