  • You f*$&% re-voiced my character?

You make these pointless and meaningless changes, but you still cant manage to get around to ones we actually like and want, like oh the simple thing of turning off that stupid victory music that people have been asking to be able to turn off since CLOSED BETA?
Ohh yeah, one of the most annoying thing they never changed even after a decade.
We also have sliders for "music" and "game" sounds, but they don't even work for some audio effects like the one you mentioned.
It's like we are still in '95s where close to no game had these options.
It would take them just around 5 minutes to add a slider for all audio effects (including sound, music, combat voice and emote voice effects), but hey, those 5 minutes are better spent on completely useless features no one asked for, right? That's Nexon alright.

The world doesn't work like that. Effort alone won't bring food to your table. Regardless of the effort you put into something, if it ends up bad, people won't like it.
You can work 20 years on a game and end up with a bad game regardless. The time and effort spent on it doesn't matter, only the end product does. And the end product here clearly hasn't been tested properly.
I give my likes/dislikes if it is warranted based on the end product, because that is what I am interested in, that is what I "consume" daily.

Judging by your answer in that other topic (about which characters you play), you never played high speed lann, nor high speed eira. I dare you to try those, above 80 speed, with slashing high/paw (but even without those, it's just terrible). If you are still convinced that there is nothing wrong with these voices, than I don't know what to say... You clearly hear things differently than me in that case, I see no other possible explanation for it.
Hearing very high volume screeching yelling over and over endlessly majorly impacts gameplay, and in a very bad way. And these yellings keep overlapping with each other which ends up in even louder voices. It's not tolerable, and I don't exaggerate here, it is really hurtful to the ears.

I can't say whether new evie or belle voice is acceptable or not, because I haven't played them since the update, and even if I would have, my stats are below average on them, so I won't comment on those, because I know that I lack the necessary experience to form an opinion about them. Speed and combat voices are very related in these kind of games, and they should have tested them both with low and with very high speed to make sure they sound alright in all cases..

I think a part of it is that a lot of people don't like change...
I think, you should stop assuming what others think or telling other people that their opinions are wrong or "not what they think".
You like it, fine. But don't put words in those other, hundreds (and probably way more) of people who stated their opinion of disliking these new voices. Most of us did bring up very valid points as to why we don't like them too.

  • No patch notes on the site is hilarious.

like the new voices. I'm fine with them and even like them, I miss the old voices but I'm fine with it and I love the character development and the added depth in the voices
Just out of curiosity, how many characters do you play? I mean, sure, some characters got tolerable new voices, but the majority of them are much worse than he old and hurts the ears (literally, they are so loud, screeching and repetitive, they just destroy our hearing even on low volume).

I can't see any sides here, just Nexon neglecting their job yet again. Compiling a patch note and posting it should not take much effort nor much time, no excuse can make this kind of repeated neglect just go away, there is no need to sugarcoat anything here.

  • New Voice for Characters

Old combat voices back! NOW! -.-

So... Hurk became a wimp now, while lann sounds like a barbarian on a yelling contest, and eira sounds... just like lann but with a female voice...
And why the heck are lann and eira yelling so freaking loud? Compared to other characters I heard today, those two are breaking the sound barrier, they burn the ears. This is the work of a professional company? At least equalize their volume to an acceptable level, geez. >.>

They honestly listened to these voices and told "okay, sounds cool, lets roll with them!"? I really can't fathom what were they thinking. Change is one thing, but to mismatch the voices this badly, it must take a special talent to do that. Even if I would have just started playing today, the combat voice of lann and eira are so atrocious that I wouldn't even think about using them, they are simply beyond irritating to hear over and over again.

I don't care about that dumb visual novel simulator, I just want my old combat voices back! +sad

Ohh, and option to disable voice emotes and those automatic blabbers, pretty please! Those are annoying too. >.>
