    Hey Jacksaw,

Your suggestion is very close to mine in terms of reviving the content from Season 1, 2, and some of 3. It would be nice if the host could set the difficulty instead of the game forcing a difficulty level on you, but your idea is pretty good.

Check out my idea and let me know what you think (it's fairly similar in concept): Improving Vindictus's Difficulty post-RISE

The goal is to make the game challenging, but also rewarding if you do complete those challenges. It's no fun going through a game that's too easy, but it's also not fun fighting a boss that takes forever to kill only to get the same chance of receiving useless drops.

I also agree that content that is too easy and gives no rewards is wasted content. Now, that doesn't mean get rid of it; the difficulty system just needs revamping. Having early game be too easy can turn away a lot of new players from continuing the story towards the "good" battles (i.e RAR, Redeemers, late Season 3 & 4 raids, etc.), and the veteran players will never touch the earlier content because, well, there's nothing worth getting from completing Season 1 & 2 missions.

  • What weapons would you like to see?

Honestly, given how many sword wielders there are in the game (Lann, Vella, Hurk, Delia, Arisha), I wouldn't mind if they switched out Sword Lann's swords for claws. All the devs would have to do is change his fighting pose to better match the weapon. It would work with the skills he already has, not to mention Daddy Blood Lord would be proud. :)

Ah! Kairi's here! Uh... I better make my best Sora impression right here. Here's the Kingdom Hearts 1 & 3 outfits on my Lann:

I didn't want to bother with Kingdom Hearts 2 Sora since it would require buying and re-dying another set of Ninja Leggings, and KH2 looks almost exactly like KH3 Sora, except a few different color differences on the leggings and the jacket.

I couldn't find good gloves that match, so I settled with Devil Battle Gloves.

I used the High Elf Priest Upper Armor for KH3 Sora's jacket as it is the closet short-sleeved jacket we have in Vindictus minus Raiders, which I used for KH1 Sora, and the High Elf Priest Upper Armor works well with the grey inner armor I have underneath.

Overall, I like how KH3 Sora turned out. There is a weird bug with the Ninja Leggings where my legs disappear (RIP). I just wish we had clown shoes in Vindictus, given how big and ridiculous Sora's shoes look. xD

  • I'm sure many won't like this suggestion :)

I like the suggestion; it harkens back to the old Vindictus format where you had challenges like "Win without using HP potions" or "Season of Macha," which made enemies have special abilities that made the battles way more challenging. However, to be fair, I think if you are going to limit these things, you need to do the following:

    - Limit Comrades? You can't use pets either. This could be a problem since pets were not a thing until 2013, making this challenge obsolete if you don't use pets or comrades in the first place.
    - Limit Goddess Graces? You can't use feathers of any type.
    - Limit Merc Pots? You cannot heal by any means except with Evie's Coronas/Restoration, Syla's Illusion Shield, and other character abilities that heal.

Another consideration is rewarding players for winning battles under these conditions. In the olden days, you were rewarded Battle Points, which were used to unlock new battles. If it were me, I would just reward more gold and an additional Seal of Dedication per challenge. Again, it's an idea; I don't know if it will work.
