You can always use those 3 little boxes to 'get the original base color'.
The next problem is , indeed; how to get the same color as an armor; when the base color itself, interacts different with different materials.

@JynXi My apologies for writing too much.

I'm still more of a fan if its just 1 per class, or 2 per class with 2 different weapons. (crossgun/longbow , staff/scythe)

Anyway, for me no really rollback needed. Since this stuff 'has to be implanted' for future content.
Tho what I'd like to see, is abit more 8 man raids now, cuz 4 man is pretty boring.
You end up doing 50%+ easily if the party sucks a lil bit already.
