The "Skill Revamps" text changes in the v.2.74 update made some text worst.
"CRIT RTE +XXX Critical hit probability is increased."
In-game this shows as something like this: CRIT RTE +7%
This is VERY misleading on what it actually does. It DOES NOT increase the Critical hit probability by 7% and it DOES NOT add +7% critical rate. It add +7 FLAT Critical to the player's Critical Stat that is seen in the "Character" window. The way Critical Probability Chance is calculated is by this: (Player's Critical Stat - Boss Critical Resistance = Critical Probability Chance (Capped at 50 for all characters except Lann))
"Impact SPD +XXX Slowdown effect when striking an enemy sped up. Previously named as 'Penetration'"
In-game this shows as something like this: Impact SPD +10%
Impact SPD +XXX is a very poor name for what this skill does in game. When a character weapon hitbox collides into a monster's hitbox there is a slowdown effect. People generally call this "Hit Drag" since the attack is slowed down from boss collision. Impact SPD +10% sounds like the player is attacking faster when this is not really the case. What is happening is a reduction of the "Hit Drag" collision so it should be shown as a negative (-) value and reworded. Penetration was a better word for this but was still a bit poor.
There is a rampant problem with the bots or what you called "reckless mining" or "macro-accounts" It is super obvious that these are not real players and they do not have the necessary stats to even run these missions to get these Damascus Steel. This is a major disruption to the game's economy and Nexon should be doing something about it.
Here is an example of some of these bots
They are clearly bots due to them only ever equipping the very first pieces of gear that you get and never changing for upgrading their gear. This gear is insufficient to even run the content to get these items so they must be abusing the system to instantly kill these bosses breaking the game.
The vast majority of these bots are also in multiple guilds filled with more bots to bot more efficiently getting bonus cores and runs
Listing pages and pages of these kinds of listings
Clearly, fatigue has barely done anything to stop them and they continue to abuse the market. If you are doing something about this, make a weekly report or something to show that something is being done. In KR there is weekly ban reports showing that something is being done while nothing is ever shown here. All we see is the massive infestation on the marketplace with no signs of things improving.
Alright I went back and reviewed screenshots of the old MP tax.
Listing Tax = 1%
Sell Tax = 5%
The sell tax back then was reduced by a guild skill
Which is what you are probably talking about it being cheaper. If anything the tax has always been the same, we only lost the guild skill.
An example of selling an item for 50m
Before No Guild = 47.5m - 500k = 47m
Before In Guild = 49m - 500k = 48.5m
Now = 47.5m-100k = 47.4
This price difference is even worst if you wish to sell an item for 1b for example you would spent 10m just to list the item and if you couldn't sell it you lose 10m.
Before if you fail to sell you don't get the Listing fee you paid back which is horrible for selling lots of items where you don't know if it would sell. The new system is significantly better than previously and you will easily save more money by not taking the risk if an item will sell.
And I will say it once again, there is a very good reason why MP Tax exist, removing it will be terrible for the game's economy.
There was always a Marketplace selling fee and it has always been 5%. Back then if you were in a level 20 guild you got a 3% discount on MP tax making the MP sell tax 2%. BUT you had to pay a 1% listing fee to just list the item which made the MP total tax 3% ,but only because of the guild skill discount. Otherwise the MP tax is 1% to list + 5% MP = 6% tax. Additionally If you listed an item and it did not sell you already lost that 1% listing tax so it was even worst back then and on top of that if you were not in a max level guild you paid 1% more tax than now currently.
The current MP is significantly better than how it was before. The listing fee caps out at 100k and you get it back if the item didn't sell. So the cost is ONLY when you actually sell the item.
There is a very good reason why the Marketplace tax exist and if you don't understand why search up MMO Economics.
TLDR; There is no increase in MP tax, in fact it was reduced if you were not in a guild.
It is very frustrating being 4-6 months behind of KR's update patches. CN/TW are only a week to a month behind KR in terms of updates so we should not be so far behind. I don't expect NA/EU to catch up instantly, but at least update faster during dry content patches until we get to that point. The game would be much more enjoyable if we don't sit waiting for a new character release or new raid patch that we know is coming.
