Why The Restrictions On Newly Created Characters?

Im always making new characters whether its to test a build, or for a new server or just plain out of boredom. Ive noticed that until about level 4 or 5 we cant do anything but run the quests were given. We cant access the market board to buy or post anything, nor can we go to Rochester or use the Hot Spring. Hell, you cant even see if there's a buff in process or let alone even see the sign that says Hot Springs. We can still get the side quests from the mini-board but other than that, nothing.

I wanted to know why it was changed & restricted like that?

To protect new players. Apparently in KR, new players would get lost because they confuse Vindictus with other open-world games. Restrictions help direct players to places they need to go and ease them into the game without overwhelming them with tons of freedom and information.

Also to prevent event abusers to create tons of new accounts and chars to just afk for items (like +enhance coupons or +quality coupons etc. etc.)

How does that prevent any abuser from doing that?
You act like it's even remotely difficult (if you've the mind and the time for it) to start up a bunch of Vindictus in VMs and get a bot program to level them and then just log in and afk them.

Also, you act like a bunch of current players already don't have multiple accounts where they afk on for multiple event items.

Creating new e-mail and account takes about 5 minutes (with starting the game and entering town). Leveling character to level 10 takes about 30 minutes. So as you said it is more time consuming also more boring.
Without level restriction you could make ~6 new accounts (able to trade) compared to 1 new account leveled to 10.

Why would you need marketplace, mail, roche for newly created char anyway?

I have always used one or two characters as storage mules. Even though I have had maxed out my storage on my main, there was simply not enough room to hold all the different drops, and that was 4 years ago. And with the dwindling amount of new players, and the ever-expanding number of battles, finding enough crafting materials on the Marketplace is simply not an option.

Nexon has never adjusted the crafting requirements for gear to compensate for the lack of people running lowbie battles, or the addition of trash gears now included as drops. All this combined requires any would-be crafter to adopt a hoarder mentality.

And unless you purchase shared storage (no permanent in NA) the only way to move items back and forth is the mail.

But that wont stop them, considering you can hit lvl 10 in a few hours & the restriction ends at lvl 3 or 4, so all they need to do is run their char. for maybe 10-20 minutes to be off restriction...

Because personally, i like to buy weapons, armor & accessories up to lvl 20 as soon as i start playing a new character, that way i dont have to stop & get them later. Also as someone already said, since we dont have banks or free storage like most other games, i use chars for storage also & sometimes go on them & post items to sell, esp when i need gold (which seems like always xD).
