[NEW MERCENARIES] Please note that all new forum users have to be approved before posting. This process can take up to 24 hours, and we appreciate your patience.
I was just at the market place and got random immense lag. Once the lag passed, I got the message that an unauthorized program was detected, followed by another message saying that I'd be removed from the game. I didn't have anything unusual open, not even the usual things like my browser. All the recent reports about people getting messages like these with subsequent bans strongly suggests that I will be the next to go.
Those of you who use the resources I've contributed on the forums have nothing to worry about, I'll leave those up.
All friends who are concerned have nothing to worry about. If I get permanently banned, then I will finally spill coffee on all the questions you keep asking about my characters.
For the mercenaries who despise me and want to be rid of me, you might just get your paradise.
So, you gonna say what background programs you were running that might flag black cipher, or are you ignoring that part because they're programs that would obviously get flagged?
Order5-- If you have not already, please file a ticket.
I'd also like to ask that everyone try and avoid wild speculation; creating panic doesn't accomplish anything good or useful. I know the team is aware of some issues, so patience is appreciated.

More like they're not even acknowledging the issues at hand because they insisted that the 5-6+ people banned had cheats opened for other games when there was no such thing on their PC. None of them had even received "unauthorized program detected" as a pop-up before either. Now they all have strikes on their accounts, not knowing what even prompted it. They can't even prevent it and the next time it happens, they can't get their accounts back.
As Aquasol said, everyone needs to stop panicking and spreading wild speculations! People already do enough of that with Siglint's stoned form and Lavasat's lava bath mechanics. Calm down and go fish.
Well, Sanitee was told that she'd already received her "one time pass" on unbanning and thus was denied despite there being nothing malicious done on her end. That's not speculation, unless someone wants to call Sanitee a liar?

Well, if you do something that triggers BlackCipher, and you get the messages describing that a malicious program is being used, or suspicious activity is being detected, once, twice, and you choose to ignore it and continue doing whatever that is that triggers the anti-hack software it's kinda your fault tbh.
I have played vindi since 2012 and I never got a message like that. Playing with the browser open and sometimes several other programs, not any illegal ones ofc.
Wonder why I haven't gotten any, does it target specific players? Is it self-aware?

I'm gonna preface this with saying that I dislike Nexon and their practices as much as the next person, but I'm really starting to dislike the community more, and your comment reflects exactly why.
I agree with you, I don't understand why someone would chose to be so careless with programs that might get them banned, especially if they've already been warned. I've been playing this game for years, I keep it open while I play other games, and while I have discord, teamspeak, ect. open and I've never once gotten this warning.
This leads me to believe that the people who are getting these warning are just being careless and really deserve the ban. If you're not smart enough to close applications an anticheat you know to be flawed might flag, you deserve your ban. If you chose to do things to this game that are gray area in nature, or specifically not allowed by the TOS and don't take measures to avoid getting flagged, you deserve to be banned, just like Sanitee.
Seriously people, you're like the idiots who sell NX/theiraccount on their main account, why do it if you know it risks a ban?
And then after all that, chose to get mad at Nexon?
I've gotten the "unauthorized program detected" pop-up before even when nothing was open aside from Vindictus. I would have already been online for 11+ hours too and it'd pop up some days, but not others with no change in what was open. I haven't received the pop-up in quite a while, with no change at all to what's open when Vindictus is.
Not to mention, the players who were banned the past few days did not even receive an "unauthorized program detected" pop-up before. Two people received "network error," while the rest were only d/c'd with no pop-ups of any sort.
It's amazing how clueless people can be to BlackCipher's flaws. Of course, people take the high road and don't care until something happens to them or those close to them.

1) Players are not given a list of programs that may trigger the software.
2) All players in this thread and others have not received warnings before their bans.
When a player legitimately uses a program designed to exploit the game I see no issue with a ban. I will always have an issue with players being banned for using non-malicious software, being banned without warning, and with players being told here that improper bans will always be overturned when in some very well-known instances that hasn't been the case.
What I don't like is how people are assuming it's a BlackCipher flaw. We don't even know if this recent trend is related to Sanitee's case. My first instinct was that I might have contracted a virus so I did a virus scan, but no fish found.
For all we know it could even be Sanitee's ghost trying to hack our computers and triggering false bans. Or perhaps Keaghan was trying to escape to the real world to kill me and the game booted me for my own protection.
I would like to bring up a valid point regarding this. Each recent ban i have read have all involved the game stuttering and lagging shortly before this happens. This to be honest sounds like NA's client has become way too unoptimized. I noticed this back when i used an fx-8350. KR's client was WAY more optimized than NA. Still is in fact. So i suggest the investigation starts there with a pc that doesnt have a godly cpu so results do happen.
The reason why i state this is because unoptimization such as this can cause the game security to act out of turn. Warframe had this issue back in closed beta as it got more content.
Unless all of the bans have been people they were creating the useful resources....in which case idk.

It's not an assumption. I've experienced issues with BlackCipher and so have many others, including you. If you've talked to the 5-6 people who were affected by this the past few days, you would know as well. I've personally talked to all of them about it.
And no, it has nothing to do with Sanitee's case. These people aren't even associated with her.
You know what's funny is that I know of someone else who opened the program Sanitee was told she had opened to see if they would get banned, but that person didn't get banned.

Im also wondering since when we can log back into a raid.Yesterday i froze for 10 seconds during a Neahmain run. When i unfroze i was being revived, than 5 seconds later i refroze for a good 25 seconds and disconected from host.I couldn't do anything at that point so i exited the game. When i logged back in it was written *battle in progress* next to my Sylas character i logged in on him and it told me that i exited the battle in an abnormal way.Than it asked me if i wanted to log back to the actual raid.So than it reconected me into the raid right after the group cleared and i was alive with 1 hp.Technically i should have spawned dead i think. But the point is i don't know when that change was implemented first and second i felt some unusual latency since the last maintenance.
I also have to mention i rarely ever have under 4 bars and in average ill be the last one disconecting from a raid.Had some wierd freezes this week.
Im not specialist but, might have to do with what your saying. Some changes they implement or even just updates tends to create these kind of problems.
I guess people should just try to avoid potential triggering for now, until the team finds out whats happening.
I had that messege pop up for me aswell( A few weeks ago don't remember); First a huge amount of lag then the messege pops up. Once I got this messege I've submitted a ticket and talked to live chat about it.
Live chat response was to submit a ticket and if I happen to get banned for some reason submit a ticket for that.
This might be a bad way of summorizing what they said but that pretty much what they wanted to get through. Well I'll keep playing and take the risk, I like to play the game but if the game don't want me to play it then I'll go else where ^^.

I've seen two people pop back in to battles here lately. I thought the first was just invited back in, but I had no idea why they'd come in on an assist that way. The second time I realized it was a system reconnect, but I didn't recall anything about that being implemented.
@탱크블레이드
If what you say about the NA Client not being optimized is true, then it is Nexon America's/Nexon Global's responsibility to ensure that the client is optimized. If the NA/EU Client not being optimized is what is causing the game security to act out of turn, then wouldn't Nexon America/Nexon Global be held responsible for players being falsely banned? And wouldn't it be their job to unban these players and compensate them for the time lost? Just wondering out of curiosity.

Here is the thing. Im looking at this in more than one view because as a beginner developer I understand how these things can happen. Yes it's Nexon NA's responsibility to make sure the game runs as optimized as possible. HOWEVER if the bans are indeed actually false then Nexon will fix that. We don't get to see things on their end because that's not our right. Chances are they are probably already investigating this issue. No one knows. The reason why I stated it was because instead of sitting in the thread complaining I'd rather contribute and get this resolved .- .
A developer can't always fix every issue if no sort of details are provided. That's just how programs work. Problem is VERY FEW of the people including myself actually provide data to even contribute to actually fix things.

KR gets optimization problems as well as content gets added. The thing is since the game is originally from KR they get much better optimizations because KR owns Vindictus. On my FX-8350 I didn't have much stutters on KR compared to NA. Every game can get unoptimized if you simply just "Add content" and that's it.
