Why is the Abyssal area down?

Or is it part of the story now and I just haven't gone far enough along to use it again

    It's normally limited to Wednesdays and Saturdays(?), it was available all days of the week as part of the release event.

    Yes, the normal limitations were Wednesdays and Saturdays only.

    Yesterday was Wednesday and my guildmates and I couldn't access the arena.
