Season 3 Final Episode + Additional Update
Also in July, we will be releasing additional updates with the Episode update.
In this Developers' Communication, we will be announcing parts of the additional updates in July.
Image 3
First of all, with the new episode, the level cap will be increased to Lv. 100.
We will also add new raid and gear befitting the new level cap.
Image 4
Lv. 100 equipments can be crafted through combining [Sealed Power] and [New Composition Materials].
Image 5
Materials needed for Material Synthesis of Lv. 100 equipment remain same as those of Lv. 90-95, but to increase ATT Limit, players require [Mysterious(Abyssal) Shard Grade 2]
Image 6
[Mysterious(Abyssal) Shard Grade 2] can either be obtained through combining three Grade 1, or from Royal Army Raid.
Image 7
With the new equipments, enhancing system will also be revamped.
Image 8
First, to remove the burden of enhancing, if a specific item fails to enhance, players will be given bonus success chances for each fails.
Also, if an item fails to enhance multiple times in a row, players will be granted 100% success chance.
This will be true for equipments until +15.
Image 9
Through Ferghus, players will be able to use [Recovery Smelting] which will make items that has been restored enhancable once again.
This will only be for items under +15.

Damascus Iron
To use the [Recovery Smelting], players will require few materials. One of them is [Damascus Iron].
[Damascus Iron] will be available through Competition Mode, certain raids, and other in-game contents.

Other than the information we displayed today, we are working on many other things. We will be working our best before we will release the contents.
We hope for your further interest in the future.
I'm looking forward to these changes, but not having to upgrade gear again, haha. But that's a given, and I'm glad they're making level 100 the new(and perhaps final) level cap, was exactly what I was wanting. The fail stacking and being able to restore boomed items again is also something this game needed for a long time. I like how they're handling the mysterious/abyssal shards and upgrading them into second grade. As much as the game needed something like this years ago, it almost feels a little nostalgic ending the story with an update like this, too.
I remember we were supposed to have four stages of transformation, just like in Mabinogi. I feel like having third and fourth stage isn't necessary anymore though.
I have been lurking this board and I saw this part:

So the main reason I left because equipment breaking but I'm lurking in hopes they will fix this because I really like the gameplay. Will equipment still break when this is revamped?

Sad some of the board members here drove Cube away, glad he is still active in the discord though
Gear will still break, but a restored item can be made enhanceable again through Ferghus and that new smelting mechanic, up to +15. So you can keep breaking the same item, smelt it to be able to enhance it after you've restored it with AP, and eventually get up to +15 where the smelting mechanic will no longer work for your item.

In case you've been away for very long and missed some stuff: destroying your item through enhacement is impossible now. It will still break but after restoring you can't enhance anymore. They did this to stop players from yolo ragequitting.
With this update they'll introduce an item+system that will remove that non-enhanceble status from your weapon. Mind that it might still be character-bound(seeing restored weapons are).
Also some other restrictions the post above already explained.

So we can use the smelting multiple times and it isn't just one more way to get a single extra chance similar to the one the Mysterious Traveler gives you? I want you to be right, that would be a real gamechanger.

Yeah, I'd hope I am, too. In the translated notes it did mention that an item could have up to 100% success rate if it broke multiple times, and what I mentioned is the only way it makes sense to me.
I'm sure it will take time to hit +15 still, but nice to see that they're finally implementing this. With one server shutting down and mergers still not keeping others anywhere near as active as they were it's not a surprise that they're trying new things, but I honestly never thought I'd see them put this in. Shame that it's coming so late, but maybe there's hope for 8-man returning as an option that would bring others back as well.
Whatever the case it's a welcome change and I'm looking forward to actually being able to enjoy all of my alts more.

The problem with these nice changes is that they are coming way too late. Not to mention every time they announce good changes they ALWAYS add a drawback to them but NEVER mention it until it's time to update. Right now the playerbase in Korea is expecting a slap in the face on the enhance change. It sounds good however We are expecting this to be right back to where it was before the change just...you need an item to allow for a 2nd enhancement. Then after that if it breaks and you can't revive again then you are screwed. That's what we are expecting. So don't get your hopes up on this one. I'm grateful that they are doing these life changes. I really am. But with the state this game is in it's too late unless they actually DO something to fix it xD

There's also the issue of their lack of foresight. I'm sure they'll decide to slap extra HP on all the bosses in response to all the Additional Damage, but I'm wondering if/how they will deal with the extra attack speed people will now be having from +15 weapons. A simple solution would be doing the same as with L90 and L95 gear, which is to dramatically raise Crit while dropping Bal to discourage Fast ES. However, they can only do this for so long if they indeed plan to go to L110 items. Less approving solutions could be to take away the base attack speed on weapons or reduce the attack speed gains from enhancing.
With the amount of stat changes they've done at this point I don't see how an approving change would work well without rolling back a lot of those changes. I can understand why they did it since the huge amount of +15 weapons out there but they literally could have done something entirely different without making things much harder for the players that aren't even close to that point. But considering the "We are listening to player feedback" response that they would give when in reality they are just not taking the feedback seriously. I'm glad they are making quality of life changes. That's not enough on an end game perspective. DevCAT needs to wake up because it's almost past the point of no return on this game if they continue to not actually take player feedback seriously.
The current NA change in gear really screwed new players or players that are not already super geared. It basically negated all motivation to run anything before Dulla, which basically makes you rush to Dulla undergeared . Now to make money is impossible, only Dulla stuff sells and you can barely farm anything at that point in crap gear. The idea of hitting 3k+ atk is too far out there, there is no clear road map to do that. They need to make more content relevant not less.

I can't wait for all the 100's stuff related as well !
We'll have an happy winter I guess !
Good things?
What?
W'as nex', enchanting changes?
Lowkey hope they increase boss hp/revert(change) AD otherwise bosses gonna get mauled with new mass of +15s(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

maybe not at the beginning of season 4 release, but somewhere along the way they'll release it at a key point in the story line.
Hyped
This enhancement change means I can finally stop feeling bad about stopping at +13 and using shards
Hope the lvl 100 gear won't make my current gear too redundant.
