Quality is modifier affecting some of the item's base stats. It is presented as golden stars when hovering over the item.

Base quality of an item is always 2 stars, and stats will be altered only if the quality is different from that. The more stars, the higher quality. Consequently, items with just 1 star will be weaker than normally, but higher will be stronger. Items can have up to 5 quality stars.

Not all items displaying quality can actually have different quality than 2. Following item types can be affected, as long they are normal permanent items: weapons, armors, accessories (earrings, rings, jawerly/emblem, necklaces), shields, spellbooks, focus. That being said event/temporary/cash items, artifacts etc. cannot be affected.

Primary method to affect quality is through crafting and happens randomly. Items with 2 quality will get crafted most frequently, following with gradually lower chances in following order: 3 > 1 > 4. 5 stars quality items cannot be crafted. Secondarily, there are some sources where certain items can be obtained with altered quality (usually 3). Quality can be also affected by special coupons listed later this thread.



Please note that the item will become bound upon reaching 5 quality stars, which is the maximum available.

Example: 90 lvl weapon with following stats:

• Weapon essence: 7080 ATK, 6814 MATK, 4 ATKSPD
• Keen Legendary Shard: 30 BAL, 31 CRIT
• Solid Legendary Shard: 45 BAL, 44 STR, 24 AGI, 51 INT, 32 WIL
• Lightweight Legendary Shard: 21 CRIT, 5 ATKSPD
• Perfect Legendary Shard: 4720 ATK, 4605 MATK, 66 STR, 36 AGI, 74 INT, 48 WIL

TOTAL: 11800 ATK, 11419 MATK, 75 BAL, 52 CRIT, 9 ATKSPD, 110 STR, 60 AGI, 125 INT, 80 WIL

Since only ATK, MATK, DEF, STR, AGI, INT and WIL are affected by quality - rest stats will be ignored from this point on.

Sticking to the table and item's level, the example item would have following stats:

• 1★: 11328 ATK, 10962 MATK, 884 STR, 81 AGI, 100 INT, 64 WIL (ATK and MATK are lower by 4%, STR/AGI/INT/WIL by 20%)
• 2★: 11800 ATK, 11419 MATK, 110 STR, 60 AGI, 125 INT, 80 WIL (unchanged)
• 3★: 12036 ATK, 11647 MATK, 126 STR, 69 AGI, 143 INT, 92 WIL (ATK and MATK are higher by 2%, STR/AGI/INT/WIL by 15%)
• 4★: 12272 ATK, 11876 MATK, 132 STR, 72 AGI, 150 INT, 96 WIL (ATK and MATK are higher by 4%, STR/AGI/INT/WIL by 20%)
• 5★: 12508 ATK, 12104 MATK, 137 STR, 75 AGI, 156 INT, 100 WIL (ATK and MATK are higher by 6%, STR/AGI/INT/WIL by 25%)

• Quality Booster Coupon (+# Star)

  A coupon that improves the quality of an item by # Stars.
  This limited item can only be used on items 4 Stars and lower. Can't be used on an item if its stats are fixed.
  Right-click to use.
  Once you start using it, its 30-days expire limit will be applied. Cannot use after it expires.

  Cannot use after it expires.
  Functionality: Increases quality of selected item by #, up to 5.
  Expiration: Affects only unused coupon - applied to item is permanent.
  Obtainability: Exchange Store: Daily Mission Ticket, Events.
  Tradability: None.
  
  
  
• Raonne's 2-Star Quality Coupon (7 Days)

  A coupon that upgrades a 1-Star item to 2-Star. Only works on 1-Star items.
  Right-click to use.
  *Cannot be used on time-restricted items or items without quality.
  *Cannot be used after expiration.

  Functionality: Increases quality of selected item from 1 to 2.
  Expiration: Unknown.
  Obtainability: Exchange Store: Daily Mission Ticket.

• Lubber's Sketchy Quality Coupon

  A coupon that can randomly change the quality of an item up to # Stars.
  This limited item can only be used on items 4 Stars and lower. Can't be used on an item if its stats are fixed.
  Right-click to use.
  Cannot use after it expires.

  Functionality: Can increase quality of selected item, but cannot decrease it.
  Expiration: Varies, usually 30-90 days in coupon form.
  Obtainability: Events.

• Lubber's Risky Quality Coupon

  A coupon that randomly changes an item's quality from 1 to #.
  Right-click to use.
  The item will then be available for only 12 hours.
  The item will be bound to your character if its quality improves to 5 Stars with this coupon.

  Expiration: Unknown.
  Obtainability: Unknown. Was it even ever available?
  Tradability: Unknown.
