Hi there,

I play on East known as nymphxo (arisha) and xWinterMoonx(staffie) ingame.

Last night, i decided to try my righteous scroll on evies staff. Used my prem enchant rune, and both times it failed. Both times i had the highest level of brynn without overflow.

So then, my friend decided to try out their luck on my staff also using a prem rune , and failed twice as well on full brynn too....

Then later on i hopped on arisha to do some raids where i got an enlightened dropped from a s3 boss. I decided to see if rng would bring me luck for failing me before...

I had no more runes, and i yoloed my full oj well bal/journeying lugh lamfadas greaves that i had used synthesis on, and i had fused and dyed.

Pretty upset when max brynn and then he boomed it. Now its 18k to revive it...

Before this, i boomed 3 gloves in about a 2 week time span. My first one, was fused full oj max stat feather and max INT solid i synthesiszed and i boomed it on silent.

So i bought a replacement, a cheaper not so great oj with purple shard and decided it wasnt so bad until i developed enough ap to revive my gloves.

So i tried a declaritive.

Boom.

Then bought another pair of gloves....

Another declaritive

Boom.

Bought another pair and now im too broke from buying scrolls that all failed.

Also! This was during the "event" of better success rates.

Only way to succeed to to buy 100% runes that cost nx or excessive amounts of gold which is really only achieved through nx items. I already spent more than i am willing to admit on those mischief makers box opening over 200 or so and only got

I just feel kinda betrayed? Due to brynn booming so much of my stuff I am still waiting to get at least 1 regular enchant rune

And before this, i failed fast Es so many times including booming my 3* black pearl earrings back when they were still super expensive ;-;

Anyways, does anyone else feel like the % is a lie?

It has always been like this. And it will not change after all these 7 years.

It's 2017 and people still think that high Brynn = high success chance. Max brynn is still just 40% chance, which means you have more chance to fail than to succeed. Why is this "I had high brynn and still failed" still a thing?

And it's well known that Vindictus has a tendency to have fail streaks (as any casino would). Back in EU we had the fortune\misfortune thread and you could see players reporting 16 fails in a row. Common sense says that if you fail more than twice in a row, you should stop.

Yeah the 100% is a lie since players managed to fail 100% passion scrolls.

But literally none of this is news. It's been like that since the dawn of Vindictus (or whenever enchants were introduced). DevCat was also caught rigging those flute things back in Korea where some players exposed them for having an inventory-scanner which scans what you have in your inv before it gives you the gacha prize (I guess that's where the "enhance naked" myth comes from). We all know it's rigged, we all made thousands of threads about it. Now what? Another thread?

Just to clarify, the bonus to enchant rates was only the past two weekends Friday afternoon until Monday afternoon. After that time the rates went back to normal.

Yeah, it sucks. Even during the event I failed three Fasts and an Echoing. I did manage to get all of my armor scrolled in the end, and an accessory, but it's painful that with the event every attempt is still likely a failure.

Your best bet is always to: yolo the first scroll. If it succeeds and you don't have excess AP to burn in case of failure, then use a rune. If scroll prices are extremely high, use an Exquisite rune so that you can guarantee it sticks. If prices are lower, just use any extra Premium or regular runes that you have. This is also why 9/10 times I only enchant on gear that has an OJ main and wait until I succeed to put the other OJ shards in. With mat prices as low as they are right now, it's really most cost effective for your seals/gold to go that route.

I have a friend who has failed more than 20 r7 enchants on his weapon. Most people would have rage quitted long before this.

I just dont get what you are supposed to do if you fail 20+ enchants and you cant improve your gear. Sure, people say "stop" but when are you supposed to try again? This was over a period of several weeks by the way, so it's not like he was spamming 20 in a row.

I passed 5 rank 7 scrolls in a row using a premium enchant rune. Failed on the 6th one. I was just lucky. You have just been unlucky. RNG nightmare. I once failed 4 masters in a row.

I have horrible luck when it comes to enchanting, to the point where I wont even bother unless I have a rune.

I have friends who usually get their scrolls to stick if they go for 83 byrnn.

These days now I craft 2-3star armor and and yolo r7 scrolls on them.
It doesn't hurt as much if it ends up booming or not sticking. This is the only way I'm able to gear my alts.

I recently started to enchant my karok armors and I didn't even bother to use enchant runes. Also, my brynn is generally around 90-95% (37-39% sucess rate)
All these happened in last week
Day 1 - 4/5 success - Memorable & Exp on head and legging (that failure costed the legging - restored with AP)
Day 2 - 3/4 success - Got Temporal, Silent & Decl on top and foot.
Day 3 - 0/3 sucess - all stigma ES (going for master now)
Day 4 - 1/2 sucess - silent failed, decl sticked on the hand

At the same time, when people can't progress in gear because scrolls don't drop and/or keep failing, people rage quit.

Fundamentally, its the same issue : if the barrier to progression is too high, people rage quit. The population was highest when roch was end game because getting level 60 gear wasnt hard...people started quitting after drags because you could do raids for 3 months and not get a single dragon rare.

I feel you man, I thought it was rigged too when I blew up 2 of my premiums I got from event and then 1 normal enchant rune and it blew up my judgement. This is just wrong man, even if I got it from the event. What if people actually spent like $4 or w.e the premiums cost only for it to fail on them? That's the only thing that holds me back from investing money in this game, even pay 2 win is better than pay 2 be lucky
