Is there a way to just wear my inner armor while also being fully geared or is that not an option? I bought my Lann something really hoe-ish and I want him to wear it during battle, ALL THE TIME.

    Not an option. What you can do, however, is fuse your gear to the Twinkling armor set. It's transparent and your inner will definitely be visible.
