The last bastion of XE falls - China becomes Prem
While I rely on uncertain sources of which regions use XE, China is/was probably the last one. They are apparently switching over to Premiere.
Here's notice about it.

XE itself caused a few control issues, like Vella's LR+R could mess up with the alternate (and completely unnecessary) control for jump-smash, which would interrupt the attack in middle due to jump playing in. However, in the end I think I liked XE more. Combo played major part in it - a motivation to care for performance, although the annoyance from stupid low damage instant attacks like Havan walking is no longer an issue. I also enjoyed perma-sprint, and I do surely hate double-tap sprint. Some bosses were actually faster, so the statement about the game being more challenging on premiere sounds false, but I actually like that they are slower, as abilities are more responsible, and things are more as intended by the developers.
I don't really mean to bring XE vs PRE discussion yet again, especially that people spoke their opinions in first impressions after migration thread. Actually, with removal of the last remaining XE region, this pretty much closes this topic. However, with the overhaul? development, perhaps at some point they will learn lessons from the version split.
I ain't mad about Premiere, my only problem with it is that it's overly sugar-coated.
All these empty promises about faster bug fixes and faster content updates... We all know that's bs. For the past 3 years EU and NA got updates at the same time. Meanwhile Japan and China got some updates before us. The pace of updates is not related to the version, but rather to the region. Both Japan and NA are Pre, yet Japan got updates faster. Has nothing to do with XE\Pre. Let's not forget that Pre is still infested with bugs (up until a few months ago they still had the Kraken slow-mo bug in Korea), boss spasms, map glitches, costume clipping, FPS\performance drops, lack of optimization, result screen delays and the list goes on. They paint Pre as if it's a magical solution to everything, but the sad truth is that it's only slightly better than XE. Emphasize on slightly.
You can kinda tell the Chinese players are having none of that. The Pre promo comes off as very forced and extra "More challenge!!", "Bug fixes!!!", "More content!!!!!!!!", "Cures cancer!!!"... They just sound like a car salesman who's trying really hard to seal the deal.
Sorry for the sentence but only a idiot can like Premiere, there is no benefit!
Bring XE back!
-Always run would be very nice from a convenient standpoint. Especially for long s2 maps.
-Being able to see boss HP bars in hard/hero for ALL bosses would let you do certain titles on hard/hero mode. Theres a dumb inconsistency in the game now where s2 bosses all have HP bars, only s3 raid bosses have HP bars in hard mode and all s1 bosses only have hp bars in normal.
Neither would make the game easier, just remove some annoyances.
Must feel like this to you.
This sounds like the tagline of a bad porno.
You know you can just hold shift / CTRL (i changed it to ctrl) to sprint right? I agree that double tapping is not nice but for the short while that I played XE on CN auto sprint caused me some serious issues with dodge (it sometimes wouldn't kick in fast enough due to slow down animation after running).
Judging by the text, they probably feel assured things will magically turn better.
It's an informative thread about a change in another region, which along with the "incoming overhaul" may be something more. Whether people decide to discuss about the versions - it's up to them.
I have it on space, and holding it doesn't solve everything. Also, there was no "slow down" (sprint-stopping) animation.
Repeating one more time - I don't truly side either version, as both have their pros and cons, I just wish they merged them at some point rather than eliminate one of them.
Since these days every one and their grandmom has 21k att 9k defense I think there really is no more need for EX.
Yes? The game becomes much slower and more boring (XE had more action in it, more moves and rewarded players for playing good). Pre is more gear dependent it isn't about being good you just have to equip your char better then others and use merc pots in the battle. Ye maybe that was the way vindi was intended so you would pay for merc pots and GGs to get good dmg also pay for runes to enhance your armor for more def because if you dodge you only lose dmg (I have noticed that constant attacking without dodging gives me more dmg so when I know that attack won't knock me down or stagger me I attack instead of dodging). After going to pre everything became more stereotype, you just spam attack, well why dodge I have tons of armor, battles last longer only for unequipped players (so it only increased gap between equipped and unequipped ppl) and most of my friends stopped playing because they had +11 and could do raids in short time but after pre came their clearing time increased and you know with drop vindi has (clearing 20 raids and you get nothing except seals) it became too bothersome for them.
In conclusion: your first sentence may be true. I don't agree with 2nd sentence (it was more important in XE to dodge than PRE).3rd sentence: yes pre is more gear demanding (ungeared players will suffer much)
Imo XE was more fun, faster and pre version should take some features from XE, every char got 3 more attacks (XE move, jump smash, jump attack), jumping around the town was enjoyable, raids could carry even less equipped ppl that knew boss attacks....
- We get combo bonus back, to the point of significantly increasing the combo required to have 150% (I don't know, 100 combo for 150%, it's just a random example). Less reliance on gear and more reliance on the action gameplay that this game is supposed to give. (since you keep your combo by not getting hit)
- We delete the double-tap sprint, it sometimes mess with positionning so much.. I would rather hold spacebar much more than double-tapping my controls. Can already spam it for twerk moves anyway, no point of double-tapping really.
> more of an impression than an actual fact, so make it two instead of three : but I feel like stamina on XE was regenerating faster than on PRE. Just an impression, this might not be an actual fact. I do know PRE has a higher stamina consumption on dodges at least. (XE blink/double blink were 11-16 stamina, while it's 16-21 on PRE)
No idea about attacks, a normal attack was 2 stamina on XE, make it 4 normals for most of classes and it's 8 stamina consummed. I do not remember the consumption on XE smashes tho so.. I will not talk about this point right now. *shrug*
Those are the 2-3 things that bothers me about Vindictus now, I'm completely fine with the rest.
