Premium Armor Fusion Rune Question

If you have a piece of armor that is binded to you and has, say, 2 binds left, and you use a premium armor fusion rune, does the armor piece permanently bind to you? Or does it still keep the 2 binds left?

    Bind count depletes only when:
    - you burn the item through enhancing/enchanting and revive it
    - you unbind it.

    Also, if you fuse an appearance to new gear it takes on the stat piece's bind count. You can do this with weapons as well, it's just rare that someone has bought a bound item just to get it's appearance.
