Enhanced Normal Attacks?

When I time my left clicks his hands glow blue and his voice changes. Is this like an enhanced version of his normal attacks?

    it'll summon more phantom daggers when done correctly

    Its what they call *Spirit Rend*.

    Gives you 2 extra shards

    If you Spirit Rend the 3rd normal hit,you will get 5 shards instead of 3

    If you Spirit Rend the 4th normal hit,you will get 6 shards instead of 4


    Its beneficial especially in the beggining of the raid to build your maximal stamina buff as quick as possible,because its built based on the number of shards you release.

    Relesing the 2 extra shards is also beneficial damage wise if the timing allows you.
