Luminary trees sometimes fail to give any loot

Sometimes when gathering from luminary trees, you go through the gathering animation, but you do not receive any items from gathering and the tree still looks "alive", although the gathering icon has dissapeared and you cannot gather from the tree again.

Screenshot shows a live tree with no icon as I have already finished gathering from it, but did not receive any items. The star fruits were received in earlier maps (you can see that I only got the explore all areas bonus mission after the star fruit, and this is the last area of CMI).

No amount of waiting will cause you to receive the loot when this happens.
