Ouest Line doesn't continue after Rocheste Quests

So I have just finished the Rocheste series of quests. My story hint says that I'm suppose to talk to the guard at Rocheste Castle gate. I have spoken to the guard three times and all he does is chitchat. What did I miss?

    It's referring to the guard outside of Rocheste in the field, not the inner castle guard. Leave Rocheste from the door next to the carriage and he'll be on your left.
