You'll need to pay for some new emotes to win at the F5-F11 game.

Hard to think of anything else they can try to make money on since there is a pay option for literally everything in this game. Maybe pay for premium channels/RR servers?

I wonder what Vindictus would be like if was a subscription based or buy2play, but those buy2play games rarely ever last. Any ideas or crazy thoughts on how the devs would've done stuff differently and how differently we'd all be playing the game right now if it has a subscription or something along those lines in which the shop/ pay2win didn't exist, except for fashion and all those stuff because I love my fashion and dyes more than most, +yes

SWTOR would still be very successful as a sub-based game if they hadn't rushed it out and hadn't over the past year-and-a-half or so just made horrid, horrid decisions and gone to such a reliance on their cash shop to keep players spending during a rather weak release schedule. GW2 has been an extremely successful B2P model because you don't need to buy from the cash shop to enjoy the game, but it adds fun items, many of them are account-wide once they're purchased, and players can trade in game gold for gems to buy said cash shop items. It's only run into major issues with its HoT expansion because the price didn't really line up with the amount of content or what players were expecting and they felt ripped off, on top of adding grind and RNG-based rewards galore, just like SWTOR has recently. They even made it so that the only item in the game that allows you to be barefoot has an atrocious drop rate, literally worse than anything in Vindictus.

I would spend money on cosmetic and convenience items like pets without issue if this game weren't so ridiculous with the RNG. Even TERA removed item destruction long ago. It still takes time to build up increases to your chances of success, but you never go backwards and your items are never destroyed; it's sadly one of the only Eastern MMOs that's gotten that, though the grind is still pretty horrid.

I subscribed to SWTOR for a few years until the devs destroyed it, but the thing is I spent more money in Vindi and would have been fine continuing to do so, just as many players spend far more in GW2 than they did in WoW and other sub-based games. I'd much rather support a game by buying new things from the cash shop so long as content continues to roll out rather than paying a sub just to be strung along and told content is coming and never have it show up or suddenly have content removed or changed in a detrimental way.

B2P/F2P will likely continue being the norm going forward, and the major publishers/dev houses are the reason that players have decided that that's how they prefer it.

I just feel like B2P and subscriptions make the quality of a game a lot cleaner and polished, not content wise and all that, but the devs and everyone involved is really going at it and the quality and utility of everything of the game is nicely put together and everything runs smoothly, F2P games are a lot more messy, not in the bad way, but there's a lot of issues that need resolving in them because the devs don't care to fix it because it doesn't affect them, but all I do is play games so my opinion is meaningless as my area of expertise is in physics +coffee
