"Do you want to try compositing?" bugged

I've completed the My Way quest and killed Regina. Supposedly, I'm supposed to have access to item compositing after that quest but it's not showing up for me. When I go to the Magician's guild to talk to Dianann, the quest isn't available to be done, and when I try to do item compositing either way, she forces me to do the quest, which I can't do. How do you fix this?

    I just came across the same problem. I'm at level 98 now and defeated Lugh but I still haven't been able to do the quest or use the composite system.
