Old player contemplating a return..is it worth it?

So I played Vindi passionately for years but eventually I moved on and I have not played at all in the last 3-4 years. I don't remember exactly when I quit, but I'm certain it was around when the max level was updated to 85. Shortly before or after that iirc.
I keep finding myself thinking back to vindi very lovingly and kind of miss it.. but back then the game seemed almost dead and with my guild falling apart I had no real reason or drive to play anymore. Is it worth coming back if I haven't played for that long? Is the game more "alive" than it was some years back? Is there a community to be found?
Is there any point trying to get my old account back and trying to get back into it after all these years?

(EU, btw, idk how the merging went)
