What problem was this change supposed to address? Can't even switch between a character's weapons now

It's a pretty dumb change, just like the majority (or maybe even all - haven't checked everything yet) of the changes in this patch.

It's to prevent people from entering astera raids using dumby astera weps for temp stats to bypass qb reqs.

I can bypass the requirements with both of my weapons, so why couldn't I be allowed to change them?
They could have just checked if the requirements are met with the weapon we want to change to and disallow changing only if it is not met, but no, adding in a simple condition check in the code must be too much trouble for them...

So people switch out the dummy weps for ones that dont meet the reqs? Why, especially considering damage contribution-based loot?

if you have guidance it doesn't matter what dmg you do for the first 10 raids

Still doesn't make sense. What advantage is a player getting by joining with a wep that meets requirements, switching to one that does not? Save a few pennies on repair costs? Be dead weight?

B/c a +11 Astera weapon may allow players to meet QB requirements at the cost of nerfing their ADD. Joining with an astera weapon, then swapping to a +13 or +14 dulla weapon gets them their ADD back at the cost of some power, but usually the ADD gain outweighs the power loss. (Unless they're way below cap).
