Enchant fail broke item

I was placing a grinding enchant on my terminus sentinel legs and the enchant scroll said it wouldn't break the item even if it failed, well it failed and it broke. I do not like this at all. I would like my item back or some kind of compensation.

    my weapon broke from enchant and it was a material weapon and like I did not get any stones or shards back

    and when I break weapon only from material weapon and from enhance attempt I get stones and shards back

    and when weapon gets restored I can not enhance any further but can still enchant it..
