question on enhancting

If an item is destroyed during enhancting (using ES), does that affect enhancing in any way? I mean, once I recover the item, can I still plus it as many times as I can or is it stuck because it blew up?

    Enhancement = plusing
    Enchant(ing) = scrolling

    Recovered items cannot be enhanced (plused).
