OJ Chunk drop rate reduced?

I'm on West and have been trying for over 2 weeks to buy an OJ Keen chunk. I've seen lots of megas from people trying to buy different OJ chunks as well. I haven't gotten any as drops in my runs as well.

They're definitely a lot rarer than shards were before the update, but I'm glad they are. It's a nice change going from a system of making money where you profit from scraps of 1-2m here and there, to getting a Keen drop that's 50m and actually puts a dent on what you're saving for or hoping to accomplish. Having big ticket items as loot rewards keeps things exciting, in my opinion.

Is population on West lower compare to East? Because on East server I see quite a bit of mega from people selling shards. Maybe not enough people farming in West to meet the demands?

Yeah, the rates are pretty bad; I did 50-60 runs of eviscerator for the lightweight chunk and managed to get it only once. In West, I think the reason why there's a slump in the amount of orange chunks available is because people are just now making dullahan weapons after the initial craze of the update. With a lot of people just buying those regina boxes and hoping to get outfitters to sell for money + being lazy to farm it with the low drop rates in mind, there's not too many people farming donegal other than Johanus for the 50 kill title + manus dropping them from the dailies (which is why we have a lot more perfects on the mp at one point than anything else).

But like Effect said, I think having them worth a lot is better for our economy. It's nice to actually get something of value compared to pre rise when they changed shards to drop like crazy but the shards weren't worth much anymore.

If I remember correctly when we first had Ben chenner the oj shard drop rate was the same as Donegal.
So until new areas appear in later updates then the drop rate wont be as low as it is now.
