Enhancement is a process that attempts to upgrade item's enhancement rank, increasing it's stats. The service is offered by Ferghus in Colhen, but can be also accessed from "Enhancement" button in Battle Inventory. Prerequisite to the feature is a minimum of 60 level and finished tutorial "Gallagher's Subordinate" story. Only weapons, armors and shields can be enhanced. Enhancement rank grants bonuses to the item, depending on item type, including item's maximum durability.
This process requires enhancement stones with adequate grade to the item's level, also as enhancement elixirs at certain enhancement ranks and gold fee. The requirements, success chance and penalty on failure depends on item level grade and enhancement rank. Along with enhancement rank, requirements increase and success chance decreases.
Enhancement process can fail, which can decrease the item's base maximum durability, decrease the enhancement rank, reset it to none, or destroy the item. Destroyed items will return some of the item's ingredients/parts, and some enhancement stones used in the process. The process can be cancelled before and in middle of it with no consequences, and can be assisted by various protective runes or similar.
Please note that the item will become bound upon reaching +9 rank or higher.

♦ Enhancement details ♦
Following images do not contain everything - click on corresponding spreadsheet/table link for full list.
Important notes:
• Provided enhancement success chances are approximate and can be incorrect, as they cannot be checked in-game.
• After Rise update, items below level 90 can be enhanced up to +12 only, so higher enhancement for these were made earlier.
• Changing main composition material (weapon or armor essence) to other rarity tier (in example: from superior(purple) to rare (orange)) will reset enhancement level, but not the other improvements. This applies only to Season 3 items (90+ level), as only these items use the composition system.
• 90 or higher level items must be composed of full rare (item name must be orange) material to enhance them to +13 or higher.

POST AFTER RISE UPDATE REWORK REVAMP 2017
Thread is split onto few posts due to character limit per post and to ensure further development.
Please do notify me about typos, errors or misleading/invalid information. Suggestions are also welcomed.
Please upvote the posts if You appreciate my work.
If anyone used the runes I haven't explained - please do tell with details, so I can update. Especially these "Gear Protection" two and "Special" one. Of course I could write that based on description, but these used to be invalid or miss details in past, so I would rather test them out. Same applies to the Enchant thread.
What could be done instead is spreadsheet/table of all cash items, sorted by usage category and tiers (like I did) and put their prices in following cells. Actually did something similar in past: https://forum.nexoneu.com/showthread.php?1549950-Cash-content-price-comparison-EU-vs-NA
I have both the enhancement protection rune and the extraction rune. What would you like to know about it?
Google translate:
All the basic information and details that would fit the "functionality" line. These are use conditions, what happens on failure/success and similar. Extraction Rune cannot fail, but instead makes wonder what happens to enhancement rank when used at Dianan, if it could be used on my restored Subdued Passion Peridot Belt etc.
EDIT: Apparently accessories cannot be dismantled/extracted at all., so neither Peridot or Woeful Belts scrolled cannot be used for this. This partially answers use condition, but not entirely. When can it be used during enhancement (what ranks, if any), what is exactly returned on usage (heard it also returns materials like gold, godly cloth/leather/ore, perma 100% untradable scroll, unlike regular dismantle which gives just seal powers and abyssal/mysterious shards).
While on it - Unstable Runes description has changed to what it was pre-Rise. According to it, rune is not consumed on use, as it was before. Can anyone test it? The Goddess Statue grants one on level 4.
I have used 2 Unstable Runes. Rune is still consumed whatever the enhancement was successful or not. No rune fragment was obtained when the enhancement failed.

The data i linked is same of patch notes
And what now Nexon lying to us?
I do have a question, on the Obtainability of the Enhancement Stones you say "Common Drops" but actually I got only one from a Boss in over 70 levels. I don't think the stones are a common drop, maybe they're an uncommon or rare drop from battles.
I might be wrong, as I haven't a lot of experience yet and I may have been only unlucky. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.
I know I can also increase the stats of the essence itself but that would be 10times more expensive then replacing it.
