  • Rise - Where did the fun go?

At 1st, I thought this was just an unjistified hate toward change and so confusion, but after making a new char, pretty much all he's saying about the old content is fair.

You went to make people decide wether they want to become Dark Knight or Paladin before the Blood Lord's fight, like it's gonna be a big deal or something, then it only has 3 bars like anyone else. It's not just me being a veteran and I know how to play, it's just the challenge wasn't there at all. I didn't even have the time to realize I was melting him.

I understand that level 90 might be too much to achieve for the content that we have and is coming and I really like the quality of life changes like, go in with story progression, eliminating most back & forth useless quests, removing assits as it felt an incredibly cheap and glitchy system, removing many ingredients and, above everything else, looting and that freaking boat I couldn't stand any longer.

I quote the op saying: why don't just start at level 90 at this point?

Another grudge: why 4 people only raids? How is someone gonna be able to understand who can host 8 people now and why was this necessary? Sorry, but making enemies artificially harder won't make them actually harder.

The difficulty must be progressive. If I'm melting EVERYTHING before the season 3 I won't have any reason to become better (granted I'll be willing to continue without thinking this game is a whole s1 joke).

Everything before s3 is a complete joke especially because "normal". You know: the difficulty EVERY try hard don't even believe it existed. "Hurr durr there's hero mode" I AIN'T EVEN GONNA BE ABLE TO KNOW WHAT HERO IS AND WHERE I CAN PUT IT (like, good f'in job there, putting hero on Ahglan the golem and nothing for Ingkells. Anyone else noticed that?)!

All that this is gonna do for new players at the end is:

    - I reached level 90-s3 absolutely melting everything, but now I'm not doing anything. I want the whole game like this.
    or
    - This game is so easy. What's the point if it's all like this?

This progressing is an absolute joke. Deal with it

  • To people complaining about RNG and population

I'm seeing a good amount of "Oh, everyone knows that music, that means that music is good af" logic.
Good luck on your fight against fire using fire there. As much as you can say that you're right on your point, others hold the same privilege as well.

Remember how EVERYONE, just EVERYONE, kept pointing out how retardedly high the costs for repairing were? Did they change it? Yes, but after how many years since the game was out? Were the players right? Absolutely, simply by thinking: why should I upgrade my gear and fashion if I can't use it because of the repair cost getting higher and higher?

Me, you and a lot of other players are keep playing this game for one main reason: the unique fighting system. Once and if the fighting system will be changed in a bad way, we'll be leaving in a matter of hours. Since the fighting system is the only redeeming feature, people left for things like BDO, because they think it's better even at that (think, because it's not. You can't simply compare Vindictus and BDO as they're different)

If there are, in fact, too many secondary aspects of the game, such as the unlimited grinding RNG to mention one, that you won't like, you'll leave regardless.
Some people DID left because of repair fee being way too high (in fact, servers kept going down during repair-free events) and that should be a clear red flag. A red flag that has been ignored for too much time now.

It is a shame to see such a challenging game ignored. I find more points to keep playing this rather than DS3, both for the grinding and the challange (before you, reader, bash me with your "DS is perfect and hardest game on planet", forever remember that you left that Neamhain hotness play alone with herself because of how hard she is. Way too many players ignore training runs and pay to get carried for me to believe the opposite)

  • Am I just bad?

I knew from the getgo that nerfing Lann was a mistake, but nobody saw my point and now we got this.
Sure, Lann might be fun to play (if it wasn't for the glue effects from body block), but after a bit, you'll question yourself what are you doing (like the whole game).

Explaining myself: why do I hate cinematic things so much, like the big time waster boat/travel start? While it's a nice thing to be looking at, it'll get boring after the umpteenth time you repeat and this game is about grinding, so you know you're gonna repeat the same things over and over.

The same oxymoron (I hate this word :D) goes here: yes, Lann glides are some of the most cool things I can use in this game, the slashing and the sound. Past that, if I'm not doing damage with a Lann I think I'm doing nothing. Lann should be the top dps by default (if played right that is) 'cause think about it. What can a Lann do after damage? Sp regen, health, stamina, clash? He does none of these things that can help a party, so if he's not a top dps, what's he good for? That's why not many people play Lann.

They took the simple step to simply increase his damage output by increasing his critial rate and damage while also giving him some buffs, still for damage, but nothing else for survivability and that's his other big weakness: he can only rely on dodging. If you're fighting against a boss that has a good range and attacks a lot, you're just gonna find yourself positioning over and over waiting for an opening (Lord Ancient for an example) and if you're not the one having the aggro you're gonna have more problems, 'cause you know you're not the one conveniently driving the enemy.
