  • To all the always complaining people

Why is it so bad to have 4 man parties?

Is it ? Most of the time in pugs, it's most likely the same top 4-5 of players that deals the damage.
Why is it so bad to have over +15 weapons? I remember one guy who grabbed a weapon, started enhancing it from +0 and hit +15 all in a row and then sent a mega: "+15 from +0 withoutfail, this game is too easy" +20 will be another goal for people who have all other goals achieved. You DON'T NEED to obssess over getting a +20, since it is virtually impossible, but you can keep trying your luck, if you wish to, and having that option, in my opinion, is a positive thing.
Who cares if a noob got lucky and got a +20 straight away? (I doubt it'll ever happen with these rates though), atleast now there's a SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE from the highest enhance weapon and the normal enhance, giving the players a reason to aim for the stars, instead of just speed.

Hehe, the damage output gets much better with additional damage rather than speed, especially when you see people with 70+ speed even with +11s, which is largely enough to clear everything, Hell 60~69 is ok even for Neamhain... so yeah, going +15 for having a better damage output is the point, see until where you can put your char with the maximum of damage possible, not about being top dps because "I have +15 XDD".
It's going to be different now. CHANGE is a part of nature, embrace it. I know it is a scary thought, but, sometimes changes are for the good.

Not when your weapons are 666 X stronger than before, against 'unchanged' bosses HP that we already kill in top 5mins.
In conclusion: People complain and will continue to be complaining, no matter what it is done or what happens, you can't appease to everyone.

Because if you want to make actual contents, you release new bosses/dungeons frequently. Making +20 an endless endgame goal is retarded, and will mostly make people quit rather than playing the game due to too much frustration and having the feeling that your efforts were for nothing. It's unchanged from before ? That IS the problem, it's a "rise revolution" ? Then make it rise indeed, by actually giving concrete, dedicated progression instead of the same rng garbage.
Giving new power creep features isn't the way of keeping people interested about the game, it's not what you should call "content" at all.

Btw, rise aren't only about the patch notes changes, let me show you the most recent changes that occured two days ago :
    Update as of today:

    1)Dungeons:
    - S1 and S2 dungeons are limited to 5 runs per day (to prevent bots and macro-users from endless farming).
    - S3 dungeons level requirement is a solid Lv 90+.

    2)Royal Raids:
    - RR bosses got their HP cut down by 50%.
    - The required amount of players to launch Royal Raids are changed to at least 10 players.

    3) S3 Bosses:
    - S3 Raid Bosses got their HP cut down by 25%.
    - S3 General Bosses got their HP cut down by 15%.

4)Changes to Seal Shops - now they require a certain level to enter those shops:
    - Seal of Dedication shop - Lv 40
    - Seal of Bravery shop - Lv 70
    - Seal of Honor shop - Lv 80
    - Rare Items shop - Lv 60
    - Artifact shop - Lv 60

Enough said. I don't really want to play a game limited to only s3 over and over and over and over again like I'm actually a chinese child worker instead of a player that actually play the content he enjoy.
Oh and get that ! MORE HP nerf, awaiting the day I can finally not bother with this game by getting +25 and ohko the boss, One-Punch-Man style !

  • It's coming and you can't stop it: RISE Update

Overall the update is pretty nice but that enhancement/additional damage part is a disaster. The idea of an average player ( skillwise ) with a +20 being able to literally destroy veteran players using <= +15 weapons make me sick. To make it worse they grant you more cores for dealing 40% damage in a pt raid. I wish Vindi would actually reward people for their gameplay ( We all like vindictus for it's combat system, right ?... yea let's not forget about fashion too :p ) instead of urging them to overgear themselves.

Going the "pay2win" way, simple. No you can gear yourself for free, but "urging them" is where it hits the nail on the coffin, that "urge" is obviously much faster by having that real cash for it.

Look at the incentive to get stuff if top deeps. Yeah I'll be happy cuz omg I always top pugs xdddd, whatever, it's if I still play at this point since everything is nerfed to sh*t and even a +10 now probably deals 666666 damage /hit like ????

I'm just p*ssed this director has a lvl of a nine year old when it comes to maths. The removal of pot animation is lame as well, making our pots simply merc pots for hobos.
This, the enhancement to +20 and the broken additional damage is what makes me disgusted about this update. The rest was more than fine/ok.

If you aren't happy just freaking quit. So you're expecting them to make +15-+20 at chance of 70% just so you can be happy? Get the F* outta here. I bet you pay little to nothing to contribute to keep this game alive, yet expects so much out of it (WITHOUT Paying).

Let's say everyone gets rare drops every single run and everyone gets +20, what do you think it will do to the market?... Freaking peasants.

No, we expect the director to know about his own f*cking game and not release enhancement lvls that are a thousand times stronger than +15. For a quote-unquote "endless goal" , that's just gonna make people quit since we all know a big whale cashers or lucky noobs are going to get a +18-20 in due times.

The market is already dead by the way, where the best income is literally selling NX items (airtight or not).

  • RISE Update Story Structure Changes

    Nah.

+2 cores = people dealing over 80% of damage (which is more likely, solo at this point)
+1 core = people dealing over 40% of damage (this might be where the problem is, ok)
1 core in total = damage dealt to boss inferior to 3% (which is more likely an afk)

That +1 core is probably going to be the e-peen problem, or the fact you could just stop bothering with chars like Lann/Lynn and go straight up for XGun/Scythe, here we go.

The +2 cores, I doubt even a +16-17 would be able to deal over 80% in a 4 man party, in short yeah it rewards soloing, how is it that bad ? Bosses doesn't scale anymore, so let me share you the minimum HP of s3 raids : Regina, Braha, Glas -> 7.7m HP. (that's even bigger than Lugh release's solo value)
Not to mention Braha has the damage debuff to 75%, which will take even longer anyway.

1 core in total and you're not afk ? I suggest to learn how to play the game then, which is nothing that RISE is doing since you literally speed up every single sh*t in a matter of seconds. And as Sekaiiz said, you only have to deal 231k HP worth of damage. Since you have free +10gear for hitting lv90 now I doubt you'll not have enough time to deal these 231.000 damage at all. Hell you don't even need to trans or anything at all, just play consistently for a minute or 2 average and you have dealt those 231.000

Yes it promotes this stupid dps race, yes it promotes solo, but being "rewarded" for our performance is anything but bad. And damn, with how RNG works, I'm sure stupid bs like - the afk got only one core, yet got an orange. While the top dps got over 80%, +2 cores, yet only dropped purple shards - could happen anytime.

  • Which character needs a revamp the most?

    Puppyman wrote: »
I mean, I'm talking a bit strongly hear so forgive me, but the point of the topic was who do we think needs a revamp the most with the main criteria provided by the post's creator being low dps or clunky gameplay.

No one cares about balance because it's impossible to do so, not to mention you have to do it with ELEVEN characters, which SIX of them have their secondary weapon, for a total of 17 WAYS to deeps. 18 in a few weeks btw (Teide).
Clunky gameplay is what we look the most, and it's definitely :

    L_nn

    - Asking for Crit to SPECIFICALLY use one of Lann's main move ? Yeah no, Spears has it better due to Fury Infusion but really, that's why Sword Lann is still clunky af. Not bad, clunky. And what happens when you land your glides ? You still deal less damage than top chars LUL
    - Why would you literally bother to perfectly land 10 timed smashes while other chars deal 3X more just by pressing shift-R ?? AND THUS WAY FASTER THAN THESE 10 TIMED SMASHES LUL

It's like you're masochist or something. But, I actually rather main Lynn/Lann than Vella/Kai, at least it makes the game more interesting, somehow.
