  • Succubus queen outfit info

Hopefully this helps people decide what dyes they might need or whether they can mix and match the outfit with other outfits/armor just in case they are thinking of getting the set.

The stats are the same as other premium outfits and the "set bonus" simply refers to the number of outfit slots filled, so you can mix and match with other premium outfits and still get the full bonus for 5 slots. Technically, you can mix and match with non-premium outfits too but the non-premium outfits have a lower bonus on the pieces itself, so you will miss out on some stats.

The colours are fixed (every set has the same default colours) and these are the default colours :

    iQsnhjW.jpg

The colours seem to be similar to what the Succubus Queen wears, except that the chest's colour 1 is a faint metallic blue (looks like white at first glance) instead of the succubus queen's metallic black, and the boots are white instead of black.

I'm not sure what the exact RGB colour codes are (I don't think the game shows that info), but the black for the Succubus Queen's actual outfit isn't 25 25 25 black, it's a lighter shade of black. I tested 25 25 25 black in the dye shop and it was far too dark.

This is how the full set looks in the dye shop, with default colours :

    Back view : http://i.imgur.com/KVCJRko.jpg

Actual Succubus Queen for comparison : http://i.imgur.com/djZJiJ1.jpg

The outfit comes with pantyhose that is similar to the Heroine Inner Armor, and a transparent brown inner bra. The Succubus Queen herself doesn't have the inner bra, only the metallic cup and "bones". IMHO, the brown inner bra looks out of place, you have this ugly transparent brown material covering part of the breasts and it just doesn't look good, especially as it doesn't match the color of the metallic portions.

Side view of the inner bra : http://i.imgur.com/dMsqKfa.jpg

The outfit also overrides any inner you may have. Normal outfits don't override your inner and simply go ontop of it, which can result in conflicting combination like visible bra straps, garter belts, etc. This isn't an issue with the Succubus Queen outfit.

Unfortunately, you cannot dye the pantyhose or cloth inner bra.

Note that the lighting in the succubus queen phase 2 room seems to have a blue tint to it, which is why the metallic portions of her chest armor look like blue-silver in the screenshot (and in game) instead of brown. But you can see that her wings (which share the same color) are brown in the above screenshot. With the default colours, the metallic portions of your chest will also look like blue-silver in the second phase room, despite actually being brown.

The set is weird, in that it behaves strangely if you do not wear both the chest/skirt at the same time. For example, the wings do not appear at all unless you have both the chest/skirt equipped. Also, the skirt's colors are completely ignored when you have both the chest/skirt displayed, so there is no point in dyeing the skirt if you want to display both at the same time.

The dyeable parts of the chest (the green parts for easy visibility) :

    Colour 1 front view : http://i.imgur.com/xFvaDOK.jpg

    Colour 1 rear view : http://i.imgur.com/zU2EFxn.jpg

Colour 1 is for the metallic part of the bra, the wing bones, the cloth for the upper arm, and the crotch area.

    Colour 2 front view : http://i.imgur.com/OTGHxL8.jpg

    Colour 2 rear view : http://i.imgur.com/0Tc451c.jpg

Colour 2 is for most of the metal parts of the armor (armguards and chest mainly) and the skin portion of the wings.

    Colour 3 rear view : http://i.imgur.com/ZY9szjP.jpg

Colour 3 is for the most of the cloth parts of the armor, such as the rear skirt and lower cloth arm guards. Rear view only because most of it is only visible from the rear.

This is what the chest/skirt looks like if you wear them seperately :

Chest only, front view : http://i.imgur.com/pULULG5.jpg

Chest only, rear view : http://i.imgur.com/iALe2q3.jpg

The parts that can be dyed are the same, except that you cannot dye the crotch area/wings as they are only visible when worn together with the skirt.

Skirt only, front view : http://i.imgur.com/TBzdxed.jpg

Skirt only, rear view : http://i.imgur.com/ByYbUDC.jpg

Dyeable parts of the skirt (only visible if the chest is NOT displayed) :

    Colour 1, front view : http://i.imgur.com/V11rChv.jpg

    Colour 1
    , rear view : http://i.imgur.com/44jvfev.jpg

Colour 1 is the crotch area.

    Coour 2, front view : http://i.imgur.com/wZf0ufq.jpg

    Colour 2, rear view : http://i.imgur.com/Jz9lbmR.jpg

Colour 2 is just the part above the crotch.

    Colour 3, rear view : http://i.imgur.com/QTYRnoW.jpg

Colour 3 is just the cloth skirt at the rear.

Clipping issue : If wearing the succubus top (the one that the normal succubus wears, you have to fuse it to armor) with the succubus queen skirt, there is a weird clipping issue : http://i.imgur.com/T55JJMk.jpg

The clipping issue is also visible if worn with the steampunk heroine top (outfit slot) with the succubus queen skirt. But there is no clipping issue when worn with the heremon soft top (armor) + succubus queen skirt. Some combinations of armor or outfit seems to cause it, while other combinations are fine.

Also, If anyone knows what the RGB code is for the succubus queen top's color 1, the faint metallic blue, that would be great. I haven't been able to find any colors like it so far and it looks pretty good, really subtle.

  • So everything's back up...but can't start the game

I think many people are forgetting that Nexon is a large corporation with many game titles. Something newer and bigger like Riders of Icarus probably has far more funding, staff and attention paid to it than Vindictus does. It may or may not have better customer support or communications with GMs, I don't play that so I can't tell.

From a corporation stand point, they dont need to care much about this game at all. This isnt their flagship title or anything. Its their low maintenance product that is fine as long as it stays in the green. They just need to keep servers up and sell gacha boxes or outfits that generate 100x or more profit compared to the amount of money it costs them to make.

Think about how much money it costs to get some developers to design a new outfit (which is basically a new character skin) for a source engine game, then think about how many people are willing to pay $400 to get it. Its like a licence to print money for them.

Yes, of course, this game could be far more successful if they put in more effort. But the thing is, corporations dont necessarily see it that way. They dont look at a product then think about how to make it more profitable, they consider the trade offs needed to make it more profitable. We could get more and better customer support, more bugs fixed, better communication with staff members, etc...maybe the game population and profits will double or triple.

But what the corporation sees is the amount of staff they would have to hire and train for a low priority product, the new policies they would have to implement, etc. All the money and man hours involved. The amount of time needed to develop a business plan for this alone, the meetings involved, the paper work, etc...nobody at Nexon wants to do this when they can just leave it alone and it will keep producing money with minimal effort.

Speaking with your wallet does not work in most cases. Why? Because that strategy assumes that the corporation will know exactly why they are losing money and then act accordingly. The corporation does not have perfect information. They wont know why they are losing money. The higher ups will only know what the department manager tells them, who only knows what the staff under him tells him.

Let us say that 90% of the players for this game boycotts it because direct launch no longer works.

The average person probably thinks "Nexon's profits fall, Nexon will surely allow direct launch now to get their profits back!"

The reality will probably be Nexon scratching their head in confusion and falling back on the time old strategies of making money (selling gachas and outfits).

Nexon will not have the slightest clue why their profits suddenly dropped. Even if someone tries to tell Nexon on this forum, the thread will probably get deleted because you are not allowed to have threads like that here. The staff for this game will come up with all kinds of reasons to explain it to the higher ups, like "it's just the wrong season" or "competition" or whatever. They won't say anything that will lead to them doing more work (like allowing direct launch). Most of the staff has zero interaction with the players and rely soley on Saygo and the forum mods for info, They are not going to tell the department manager "Uh...we deleted some threads on the forum about people boycotting the game because they can't use direct launch, that might be related?".

I'm willing to bet that their marketing research consists almost entirely of one guy crunching sales figures to tell the manager what kind of events/items generate the largest amount of money.

Ask anyone who has worked in a large corporation before, it can take months before someone finally figures out why something doesn't work, or realises that the department has been using the wrong email to contact a business partner for months.

Edit : Not sure why my two posts were merged incompletely...the second half was originally in another post and was cut off.

  • Is it worth re-gearing weapons for 95?

You can still reach attack cap for Dullahan with a +15 level 90. Sure, it will be harder to crit cap it, but all that extra attack speed and additional damage will still probably result in higher DPS overall (especially for speed reliant characters), compared to a +10 level 95.

And even if you managed to make a +12 or +13 level 95, all that extra attack/crit wont help you anyway due to attack caps for most raids, since you are probably close to or at s3 crit cap with your level 90.

IIRC attack cap for Dullahan is going to be around 28k. So if you have a +15 level 90, you can skip level 95 weapons entirely unless you want to try to make a +15 level 95.

What you would probably want to do is upgrade to level 95 armor though, since Derpcat probably balanced Dullahan to hit like a truck unless you are in full level 95 OJ enchanted gear....look at how much damage s3 raid bosses do if you are in level 80 or purple level 90 gear.

  • PLEASE READ! Scheduled Maintenance - APR. 19, 2017

enable everyone around the globe to better enjoy Vindictus and other Nexon titles.

For those of you who have never worked in a corporate environment before, once you translate this to plain english, it basically means that they are doing backend stuff to simplify things for their IT team (merging all accounts into a global account system rather than tracking accounts per game).

The only benefit to end users is that that if they have lots of nexon accounts, they only need to remember one email address to login instead of a mix of usernames/emails.

But damn, a 12 hour maintenance during AU peak time sure sucks.

  • Getting rid of the ap limit popup spam

If you are near the AP limit, you get the ap limit warning popup every single time you go back to town. The problem is, if you already have all skills capped, the ap shop is out of stock and you have nothing to ap restore, you cant get rid of the annoying popup.

I think the best option you have in this situation is to deliberately blow up a two star level 90 item (purple primary + blue shards) with a bad scroll like explosive or resistant so that you can ap restore it. But its still annoying because you have to try several times (on average) to blow it up on purpose. And this method won't work after they change r9/r8 scrolls to have zero destruction chance in the Dullahan update.

    Anyone have any better ideas?
