Enhancement is a process that attempts to upgrade item's enhancement rank, increasing it's stats. The service is offered by Ferghus in Colhen, but can be also accessed from "Enhancement" button in Battle Inventory. Prerequisite to the feature is a minimum of 60 level and finished tutorial "Gallagher's Subordinate" story. Only weapons, armors and shields can be enhanced. Enhancement rank grants bonuses to the item, depending on item type, including item's maximum durability.

This process requires enhancement stones with adequate grade to the item's level, also as enhancement elixirs at certain enhancement ranks and gold fee. The requirements, success chance and penalty on failure depends on item level grade and enhancement rank. Along with enhancement rank, requirements increase and success chance decreases.

Enhancement process can fail, which can decrease the item's base maximum durability, decrease the enhancement rank, reset it to none, or destroy the item. Destroyed items will return some of the item's ingredients/parts, and some enhancement stones used in the process. The process can be cancelled before and in middle of it with no consequences, and can be assisted by various protective runes or similar.

Please note that the item will become bound upon reaching +9 rank or higher.

♦ Enhancement details ♦
Following images do not contain everything - click on corresponding spreadsheet/table link for full list.

Important notes:
• Provided enhancement success chances are approximate and can be incorrect, as they cannot be checked in-game.
• After Rise update, items below level 90 can be enhanced up to +12 only, so higher enhancement for these were made earlier.
• Changing main composition material (weapon or armor essence) to other rarity tier (in example: from superior(purple) to rare (orange)) will reset enhancement level, but not the other improvements. This applies only to Season 3 items (90+ level), as only these items use the composition system.
• 90 or higher level items must be composed of full rare (item name must be orange) material to enhance them to +13 or higher.

      Caution
      - The enchantment and the materials for ATT Limit Removal will be bound to you upon extraction.
      - If the destroyed item is restored, it will no longer have the enchantment or the materials, since they were extracted by this rune.

Added the Rune Fragment and related.

If anyone used the runes I haven't explained - please do tell with details, so I can update. Especially these "Gear Protection" two and "Special" one. Of course I could write that based on description, but these used to be invalid or miss details in past, so I would rather test them out. Same applies to the Enchant thread.

Would be nice if you also add the cost of NX of each rune in both enhance/ enchant thread for comparison.

I thought of this when I started these projects for the first time. This would run me into adding "How to obtain" (or single word with same meaning, if such exists), but since majority of the runes/items aren't regularly available, all of them would have "event" label and most of them "limited sales", where the price may change. I mean, what's the point of comparing thing to another, when one of them is randomly available throughout the year.

What could be done instead is spreadsheet/table of all cash items, sorted by usage category and tiers (like I did) and put their prices in following cells. Actually did something similar in past: https://forum.nexoneu.com/showthread.php?1549950-Cash-content-price-comparison-EU-vs-NA

Thanks, I'll look into it. However, I won't add content that was never available in our regions. Also I hope this junk wont be added here.
    Google translate:
A fixed reinforced stone that can strengthen the equipment enhanced in +13 to +14 with 100% probability.
It can be used as reinforcing material instead of existing reinforced stone (highest grade reinforced stone, reinforced stone of paradise).
The packaged state can be traded only once on the transaction bulletin board.
When opened, you gain +14 fixed reinforced stone (100%),
    Account sharing becomes possible.
Let's note that the transaction bulletin board will be unusable.

All the basic information and details that would fit the "functionality" line. These are use conditions, what happens on failure/success and similar. Extraction Rune cannot fail, but instead makes wonder what happens to enhancement rank when used at Dianan, if it could be used on my restored Subdued Passion Peridot Belt etc.
EDIT: Apparently accessories cannot be dismantled/extracted at all., so neither Peridot or Woeful Belts scrolled cannot be used for this. This partially answers use condition, but not entirely. When can it be used during enhancement (what ranks, if any), what is exactly returned on usage (heard it also returns materials like gold, godly cloth/leather/ore, perma 100% untradable scroll, unlike regular dismantle which gives just seal powers and abyssal/mysterious shards).

While on it - Unstable Runes description has changed to what it was pre-Rise. According to it, rune is not consumed on use, as it was before. Can anyone test it? The Goddess Statue grants one on level 4.

I have used 2 Unstable Runes. Rune is still consumed whatever the enhancement was successful or not. No rune fragment was obtained when the enhancement failed.

    why your rate is different
The data You linked is from KR test server for Rise. Even the director stated they will be different for live server, and under heavy pressure of the community they were changed. However, since enhancement success chances are not visible in game, we can never know the exact rates.

Why nexon not announce officially the rates in patch notes or in the game. And how to know your rates is really or no. I want to know when i push the button what rate i have for succes. This is madness... soon, no one will play this game.

    Edit:

The data i linked is same of patch notes

Added "Obtainability" and "Tradability" labels (names may change) under all items. I will try to expand information for more usability. If You used runes that have no description (ie: Destruction Safeguard Rune) - please explain details, so I may fill the gaps. Obviously in-game description are likely right about them, but I prefer first hand information to be sure - this is one of main reasons I initially made these threads. Same applies to Enchant one: http://forums.vindictus.nexon.net/discussion/10814/

    Thank you for the info!
I do have a question, on the Obtainability of the Enhancement Stones you say "Common Drops" but actually I got only one from a Boss in over 70 levels. I don't think the stones are a common drop, maybe they're an uncommon or rare drop from battles.
I might be wrong, as I haven't a lot of experience yet and I may have been only unlucky. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

Drop locations for majority of the items have changed since Rise update, but it feels like they drop in most battles, probably starting from 60 to 90 level (as in: excluding Season 3 content, where Paradise stones drop instead). Much like Paradises, I see them showing up frequently. Not as much as other things, but it's still far from uncommon or rare.

Need some help with the essence replacement. I managed to get a gear piece up to +12 but the main essence is rather low rank. Would replacing this main essence reset the enhancement back to +0?

I know I can also increase the stats of the essence itself but that would be 10times more expensive then replacing it.

Enhancement will reset only if You change main material from lower tier to higher (purple to orange). If You already have orange main essence, rest of the materials needs to be orange-tier to enhance it further.
