Is "Gilded Spire" a boss drop?
I tried to do Ainle today as a Kai but I didn't get the gilded spire. Is it only craftable?

Cannot be collected as a boss drop.
If you are using it to upgrade to R gilded spire, go for NPC craft. If you are looking to level expertise, go with the latter.
NOTE: you can only store 1 ulchas sword per player as it is classified as a unique item. Ulchas sword can be found from Ulcha's relic or blood prince. Any additional swords found will be sent to mailbox.
Interesting that the NPC craft is better than the expertise.
Ikarsu didn't mention the negligible gold fee that comes with NPC crafting.
18,000 per craft, and it usually takes around 10-30 crafts to go to the next wave of expertise. 180,000 - 540,000 gold it would take to NPC craft all Guilded bows, which then are upgraded with Royal Guilded Spire to gain the wave of crafts for gold smithing.
93,000 per deep corruption run would take around 8 runs to gain that amount of gold considering repair costs factor in to gold generating depending on your luck.
Problem lies for expertise Guilded is that the runes of dominion are an RNG drop from Big goblins (mainly Servant of Twilight), and you need six of those to boot. They also drop leather, cloth, and enhancement stone as part of their core mix along with crappy/destroyed gear that will make runs annoying.
Fun Fact: Servant of Twilight also drops ainle studs.
You have better luck farming for copper + silver in sewers and Ben chenner (particularly in what the dead leave behind (Copper) or Ben Chenner Entrance (Silver) ) than trying for dead big goblins found in Ainle. Kalis drops tattoo of dominion.
so to get expertise craft mats for expertise Gilded spire, you need to hunt down 3 bosses: Kalis, Servant of Twilight, along with Blood Prince (which has 3 mini bosses before fighting him).
fine iron takes 3 iron ore to craft + 1 metal solvent, or 2 iron ore + 1 metal solvent + 10 seconds as a weapon smith. This route will take 12-18 iron ore + 6 metal solvents depending on whether or not you have a weapon smith.
True, but you have to wait until they get the next box and then assuming they know how to use the market... selling it there.
Lots of peeps are NPC selling it instead of placing it in the market when market yields more profit in the long run. Sometimes looking for old leveling bows becomes tideous if people end up incinerating it or NPC selling it.
