problem with quest "About Elixirs"

i've just made over a dozen blessed magic elixirs and the quest is not completing. first time i did it a few at a time and when that didnt work i did all 6 at once and its still not working. i just completely the rescue mission story and now i have no other missions except for 2 story missions and side quests. i thought clearing up the old story missions would give me new missions to run but if i cant clear this one i cant move on with the game.
