the gatering trees will not let me pick them up

the trees of gatering does not let me pick them up for more than that of not leaving me it is as if they were decoration from time to time I can take it and that when I'm with mates

    This might not be a bug.

    Have you done the quest to unlock your Gathering proficiency?
    If so, what level is your Gathering proficiency at?

    I'm going to assume you've learned the Gathering proficiency, but there are two different types of luminary trees.

    The regular ones you can gather from at any level, but if it has a shimmering glow I believe you can only gather from it once your proficiency reaches 90.

    If you're trying to gather from a shining tree but it's not letting you, then your proficiency isn't high enough yet.
